Yes, there are. As can be seen in the first picture below.
No, I have not found a way to remove the head. Only the mounting plate can be removed. 2 versions included, one GoPro and one screw tripod.
This product is made for acction cameras and not for another gimbal :).
In one of the pictures you can see a plate with a 1/4 inch thread. It will certainly work with that.
