No matter which switch you buy, the switch may only be sold to you with a plug that also fits in Switzerland. The four versions of the switch differ in unmanaged, managed, PoE, etc. If you really only need a pure switch without additional functions, simply take the cheapest one.

No, it does not work in both ways. It is a PoE-PD where PD means powered device (see foto, text in the yellow box below port 1). The GS108T can work without a power supply, if the power is provided over the Ethernet cable to port 1. But the switch does not deliver power to other devices through port 2 to 8.

Hi Sven. According to the data sheet, all of them. There is a catch. And that is the total power of 55W. Depending on what you connect to the switch, this may or may not be enough. For example, if a telephone needs 5 watts, you can connect 8 units. If you want to connect access points with 20W, it's over after 2 pcs. I hope I have helped. The information is without guarantee.

Good evening Pure offline management without a connection to the cloud is possible. However, depending on the firmware with which the switch is supplied, this is only possible as long as the switch has no internet connection (see https://community.netgear.com/t5/Smart-Plus-and-Smart-Pro-Managed/GS108Tv3-cannot-use-local-login-with-internet-access/m-p/1773940). This means that if the firmware is old, it is essential to set it up without the Internet and carry out the update. Then everything will work with offline operation. If the latest firmware is already installed, this diversions is unnecessary. LG Nero
