Yes, simply connect the satellite dish, insert the card with the module into the slot and it works. For the satellite search, I would definitely connect an additional satellite searcher between the receiver and the TV. Searching for satellites only with the TV is very tedious and no fun. I ordered the TV for my father as a caravan TV and find the TV to be okay for this price.

The power consumption of this unit is stated at 4 hours per day. I therefore assume that the manufacturer assumes this value. I cannot say whether this TV can withstand 12 hours of continuous operation per day. However, I assume that this will shorten the lifespan considerably.
