Hello, Digitec offers an equivalent warranty extension: 5-year Bring-In warranty (3-year extension) which seems to me to be more attractive than UI Care in terms of cost, but.... because there is a but, you have to send the Switch BEFORE receiving a new one, whereas a simple declaration to Unifi (with UI care) is enough to receive a new one. That said, if the part is really critical, I recommend buying 2 with a spare part. For anything critical, Unifi offers 'High Availabily' solutions which provide real-time redundancy, but which are still quite expensive.

Can I connect to non-PoE devices?

Yes, you can also connect devices that do not support PoE to the PoE ports. Most UniFi PoE ports automatically recognise whether a connected device needs power and only supply power when it is required. This means that non-PoE devices are protected and can be operated without any problems.

Helpful answer
Yes, the switch also works with other routers as it is a standard-compliant, cloud-managed network switch with 8x 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports (RJ45) and 2x 10G SFP+ ports. It can be used in a network with routers from different manufacturers as long as the connection is possible via Ethernet or SFP+. The Layer 3 functions and PoE support are compatible with common network standards, which enables integration into existing networks.
