The Safety Module for TM2XX from Schneider Electric is a highly advanced safety module specifically designed for integration into Modicon M221, M241, M251, and M262 PLC controllers. It allows for the expansion of these controllers with functional safety modules and is also compatible with third-party controllers via the Modicon TM3 bus coupler. The module provides two digital safety inputs and three parallel digital safety outputs, designed for connecting emergency stop switches and other safety-related protective devices. With a maximum achievable safety level of PLe / Category 4 according to EN/ISO 13849-1 and SIL CL3 according to EN/IEC 62061, it ensures the highest safety standards. The design and configuration of the module are carried out using the EcoStruxure Machine Expert software or a standalone configurator. The module is suitable for operation in a temperature range of -10°C to +55°C and can be mounted on a DIN rail or directly onto a control panel.
