With this active optical USB 3.0 hybrid cable (AOC), you can transmit your data almost losslessly over long distances. It is ideal for conference rooms, media consoles, lecture halls, or for the ambitious home user. Data rates of 5 Gbit/s can be achieved via USB 3.0. The USB 3.0 AOC cable can be operated without an additional power supply. If devices with higher power requirements are to be powered through this cable, a 5V power adapter can be connected to the USB Micro B socket. A hybrid cable converts an electrical data signal into an optical data signal. The optical fibers ensure very low signal attenuation and there is no interference with the data line from electromagnetic disturbances.
