The StarTech 10/100 Mbit/s multimode fiber media converter SC allows you to extend a Fast Ethernet network over multimode fiber up to 2 kilometers. It is a cost-effective solution for connecting a 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet network with remote network segments via a 100Base-FX fiber backbone. It supports standalone operation or installation in the ETCHS2U rack-mount chassis. Advanced features include link loss forwarding, status remote monitoring, and two frame sizes. It supports a maximum fiber cable length of 2 km and full or half-duplex operation. The all-steel chassis is easy to use and install.
