The Series 102i compact audio/MIDI interface is perfect for guitarists, songwriters, and small studio owners. It provides up to ten audio inputs and two audio outputs to a Mac or Windows computer or iOS device for recording and playback at up to 192 kHz / 24 bit, with the superb sound quality you'd expect from Tascam. This versatile USB interface features a powerful DSP processor with a matrix mixer, built-in digital reverb, compressor, phase inversion, and four-band equalization for each channel, all of which can be controlled via the included device software. Integrating this processor into the interface eliminates all latency issues and reduces the load on the computer, allowing it to process the audio signal more efficiently. A new USB driver provides very high stability and ensures reliable performance throughout all project phases.

Tascam Ultra-HDDA mic preamps provide high-resolution audio. The two analog combo inputs for microphones, line sources, and instruments feature transparent, natural-sounding, low-noise Tascam Ultra-HDDA mic preamps and individually switchable phantom power (48 volts). A maximum of ten inputs (four at 192 kHz) are available when using the optical digital input, which can accept up to eight audio input channels from an ADAT- or S/MUX-compatible device. For monitoring, there are two headphone outputs with their own level controls, and two line outputs via balanced 6.3 mm phone jacks. You can also connect your MIDI devices to the rear panel MIDI input and output for use with your recording software.

The angled chassis allows easy access to all front panel controls. Quickly adjust monitoring levels with the large monitor knob, and use the handy monitor balance knob to mix the live input signal with the signal fed back from the computer, for example, to create overdubs without latency.
