Turris MOX Pocket Wi-Fi
The Turris MOX is a unique modular router designed for small and medium-sized businesses, tech enthusiasts, and households that are aware of the risks of the internet. Thanks to its secure default configuration, automatic firmware updates, and an adaptive distributed firewall, the product is very secure. The Turris MOX is also open source – it runs a free Linux operating system (based on OpenWrt) on open hardware. You can purchase a complete Turris MOX set (Pocket Wi-Fi, Power Wi-Fi, and Classic) or build your own. For this, you need the MOX Start base set, which can be expanded with one or more modules (MOX B, C, D, E, F, and G) and add-ons (MOX Wi-Fi Add-On (SDIO), MOX Wi-Fi Add-On (mPCIe), and MOX PoE Add-On).
Main features of the MOX Pocket Wi-Fi
This set consists of the MOX A (Basic) module, a power source, a microSD card, and the MOX Wi-Fi Add-On (SDIO). It is used to provide Wi-Fi signals or to extend the range and is suitable for purely wireless networks. You can choose between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi. If you want to use the faster 5 GHz or both 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi simultaneously (for older devices), choose the MOX Power Wi-Fi set.
The MOX Pocket Wi-Fi configuration can be significantly expanded with accessories. But there are many reasons to fall in love:
Automatic updates - With MOX, the latest firmware with all security patches is always running. You don’t have to worry about anything.
Attack identification - MOX can identify suspicious data streams and send information about them to the Turris central. You just need to activate this feature to enhance your protection.
Distributed adaptive firewall - The Turris central compares the data received from thousands of routers. If an attack is detected, it will...
