Please note that in cases of poor print results, a replacement is almost always successful. If the support code 1403 is displayed, the replacement has about a 93 percent success rate. To determine before the exchange whether the print head is defective or possibly the printer's mainboard (the error message will be displayed in both cases), please remove the print head. If the support code 1401 is now displayed, the mainboard is intact, and replacing the print head should resolve the error 1403.
