The Gitzo Gimbal Fluid Head combines the smoothness and vibration absorption of a fluid head with the balance and range of motion of a traditional gimbal. It is ideal for wildlife photography and birdwatching, even for extensive observations with heavy equipment. The head supports up to 17.6 lbs and weighs 3 lbs itself. It features a tilt range of +/- 180° and a full pan range of 360°. Both axes have independent locks for precise control. Utilizing fluid cartridge technology borrowed from the film and video industry, movements are made smooth and stable. The Whip-Pan system allows for control of the fluidity and provides precise control and maneuverability when tracking at high speeds.
