8. Harman Photo Red 125

Harman Red 125

A medium-speed ISO 125 red light film based on the Harman Phoenix emulsion.

Redscale is the effect achieved by shooting through the back of a color
film, exposing the red-sensitive layer first, resulting in stunning outcomes that primarily consist of red, orange, and yellow tones.

With a DX-coded cassette, edge marking, and a box sensitivity of ISO 125, the Harman Red has a usable exposure range of EI 50 to 400. For best results, we recommend shooting between EI 100 and 200, depending on the brightness and contrast of the scene.

Depending on the exposure and color characteristics of a scene, the images can range from vibrant, "apocalyptic" bright orange and red tones to subtler orange and green shades with delicate shadows.

Underexposure leads to coarse grain, pronounced shadows, and deeper reds. Normal exposure results in normal grain, even orange tones, and softer shadows. Overexposure yields finer grain, brighter, more contrasty images, and varied color tones.
