2 questions about the gateway: - After connecting to the router for commissioning, can the LAN cable be removed and the gateway be operated via WiFi? - Does the gateway also contain a temperature sensor?

No, unfortunately not. The gateway must always be connected to the router via the LAN cable.
In addition, the gateway has no measuring function and only serves as a data transmitter. You receive the desired measured values via the various WeatherHub transmitters, which you can purchase separately.
