A quick question: On the Synology homepage, the three are connected in series and distributed over the floors. Can I also operate them in parallel? In the following way: Cable input in the basement/laundry room to the UPC Connect box (in bridge mode), then the first Synology right next to it. From there to a switch to the two other routers in the living room and upstairs. Alternatively, I could set up the connect box and the first router in the living room and send the signal to the second box in the basement and then to the third upstairs. I just don't know if the order of the routers and floors is important?

Classically, end devices are connected in a star configuration to a router like the RT2600ac, which also supports mesh. The MR2200ac has WAN and LAN ports so that additional devices - or MR2200ac - can be attached. The third option is to connect the WLAN access points wirelessly to the router.
I think all three options are feasible, stability and data throughput are highest with the star connection, followed by the serial and then the WLAN connection.
