Are these the newer models with the quiet fan? And would the warranty be voided if, for example, I replaced the SSD myself? LG

I'm not sure about either question, but the fan does not disturb me, if that is some level of answer.

With regards to SSD: I wouldn't bother, install an SD card instead. I bought a 1tb card, no issues even with AAA titles like Spider Man. Only real difference is barely noticeably longer load time.
