Can I place a Sonos Beam in front of me without the picture being covered?

Yes, no problem, I did the same.
The Sonos Beam does not protrude into the picture, only into the frame of the TV.

It is 6.3cm to the bottom edge of the frame and 7.7cm to the first (bottom) row of pixels.
The base of the screen stand naturally protrudes forwards above the picture plane and is 8mm high.
According to Sonos, the Beam is 6.9cm high, so it will protrude into the frame, but should remain just below the picture. (6.9cm+0.8cm=7.7cm)
I have my Sonos ARC on the base, this is 7.5cm high plus the 8mm gives 8.3cm is therefore actually in the picture.
Normally, however, your eye level is about the centre of the screen, so you look at the soundbar from "above" and it therefore remains outside the picture.
