Can I set this to print in black only? i.e. it uses ONLY black ink. If so, does it also print when, for example, the yellow ink is empty?

Hello, I am not aware of this. The damage done because of an empty ink tank is out of all proportion to the price of a new bottle of ink (CHF 18.50 up to 6000 pages). The colour fastness is super. A sign that I have printed and laminated and exposed to the sun has hardly faded after months.
