Each Xiaomi mesh router has an integrated 3 port Gbit switch. To use the whole system, a mesh router is connected directly to the Acer router, its WLAN is switched off (it doesn't need it anymore) and the mesh system takes over all network traffic. The Xiaomi AX3000 solution is able to manage up to 256 devices.
