Question about Devolo Magic 1 WiFi starter kit 2-1-2
Can the adapter with the 2 RJ45 sockets be used in such a way that the Internet supply line is plugged into one socket and the Swisscom router into the second socket? So does the adapter work like a router, or does an additional router have to be installed for the Swisscom box supply line? But then I wonder what the second RJ45 socket is intended for. Thank you

The Devolo Magic 1 WiFi Starter Kit 2-1-2 (1200 Mbps) cannot function as a router, but serves as a powerline adapter to distribute your existing Internet connection via the power lines in your home.
Here's how it works:
- The internet line (from your router) can be plugged into one of the RJ45 sockets.
- The adapter then uses the power lines to transmit this connection to other parts of the house.
- Stationary devices such as Smart TVs, consoles or PCs can be connected to the second RJ45 socket in order to connect them directly to the Internet via LAN.
An additional router is not required to distribute the Internet connection, but the Swisscom router must be connected to one of the Powerline adapters to bring the Internet connection into the Powerline network. The second RJ45 slot is used to connect additional devices directly via LAN without having to connect them via Wi-Fi.
