Can this item be sold as a 'radio' even though it doesn't have DAB?
Correction: in the same price range, here's a complete device:
Adler AD 1184 (FM, DAB+ DAB, AM, Bluetooth)
Hello and thank you for your reply. However, since 2020, all new radio sets sold in Switzerland must be compatible with the DAB+ standard. This does not apply to old or second-hand sets. I haven't found the legal basis for this statement, which is repeated on several sites.
So I'm not sure that it's legal to sell a device under the name of "radio" if it doesn't have DAB+ reception. I see this as a definite confusion for consumers, who would be better off choosing a DAB+ and Bluetooth radio at a lower price.
Here's an example: Denver DAB-46 (DAB+ DAB, FM)
The manufacturer describes the product itself as a 'radio', even though it does not have a DAB function.
