There is no receiver, your PC must have Bluetooth.

Yes, but unfortunately the "Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows" is only available in a set with a controller ("Microsoft Xbox Wireless Controller + Wireless Adapter for Windows 10"). In principle, however, any current Bluetooth doongle for PCs should also work. My BT500 from Asus connects without any problems....
