Most on my connections are through 4G, but on a few occasions the 5G was ON. My phone company is SALT and their signal is very week (1-2 bars) where I live, independently of the Phone used (my wife have a Samsung with the same problems).

For me it works perfectly. I think that it depends on your phone company and not on the phone itself.
