Does anyone use the mic in conjunction with a mechanical keyboard (MX-Red) and Teamspeak/Discord. And placed on the table without a mic stand.

The Samson Meteor is a condenser microphone (large diaphragm). It offers very good quality, but its design makes it unsuitable for ignoring background noise. Therefore, it is recommended to have the microphone as close as possible to the sound source (e.g. by using a mic stand). If the microphone is placed normally on the table, even non-mechanical keyboards are clearly audible.

For gaming/team talk, I would rather recommend a headset.

Samson has a noise cancellation programme. It costs $4 but I can only recommend it to everyone https://partners.andreaelectronics.com/samson

I use the microphone for Teamspeak and in-game VoIP. As I mentioned, you can't hear a keyboard mechanically well either.
With the use of push-to-talk or the correct setting of voice activation, the microphone can be used very well. The only prerequisite is, of course, that headphones are used for the sound output and that the game sounds/music are not recorded again.
