Does the device already have the same Ambient Mode, which is also available on the new Samsung QLED models, or is this a function of its own?

The Art mode is completely different from the Ambient mode. It is best to have a look at the website of The Frame. There it is more or less described how it is constructed. In any case, it does not have the ambient mode of the newer Qled models. mfg
