Question about Lindy HDMI Splitter Compact 2 Port

Does this device also transmit audio signals to both ports? Idea: Apple TV 4k, port 1 to TV and port 2 to AV receiver. AV receiver is not 4K capable, so I would only send the sound via the receiver and the picture directly to the TV. Thanks

This did not work for me because the splitter only duplicates the picture and does not upscale anything. My AV receiver can only do 1080p and that's why the TV only got 1080p. Solution: if the AV receiver has a TOS link input and the TV has a corresponding output, then use a cable like this: LogiLink CA Toslink (5m, Entry, Optical)

The A/V signal then goes via HDMI to the TV and from there to the receiver (audio only).

I now use the splitter to send the video signal to the TV and the projector at the same time.
