Hello all I am looking for an Ethernet cable for my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014). It has two Thunderbolt 2 and two USB 3 ports. I don't know which adapter is the right one for me. I was going to buy the USB adapter first, but now I see that there is also the one for Thunderbolt.... (don't really understand the difference). Do they both work?

It's best to think about which ports you need the least. If you don't have any Thunderbolt devices: take the Thunderbolt-to-Ethernet, then the one USB port remains free. Most of the time you have more USB devices than Thunderbolt...
