Hello, Can the Garmin-Pro plus work with the app on my iPhone only? or should it only match with the Garmin smarthwatch?

Helpful answer

As the device is Bluetooth and ANT+ enabled, it can be used with any Bluetooth enabled device.
A Garmin device is not absolutely necessary.

Hi, I use the HRM-Pro Plus either with my iPhone or my Garmin Edge 540 (bike computer). You can check the compatibility per feature here: https://support.garmin.com/en-US
