Question about Denon DRA-800H
Hello Community I have three questions for you about this product: Does this AVR support the PlayStation 5's 4k/120Hz? Or are there any known HDMI 2.1 bugs? 2. can anyone say anything about the phono input? Is it usable or should I continue with my external phono preamp? 3. can anyone give general feedback on my planned setup? I am considering getting this AVR with two Teufel Theater 500s. Application: Music from turntable, gaming / movies with PS5, TV general and possibly Spotify / NAS. Thanks for your help. Greetings Simon
Hi. The Theater 500 S fit well, I think, and the sound is pretty decent. The colleague above made the comparison with the Canton B100, which doesn't make much sense in my opinion, as the price range and size are different and the Canton is primarily a 3-way speaker. The 500S, however, is a 2-way bookshelf speaker, but it has a lot to offer and the price-performance ratio is sensational.
1. I don't know, X-Box Series X (4k) definitely works.
2. phono input is good, I connected a TEAC TN-300 and am very satisfied.
3. I tested the DRA-800h with the Teufel Theater 500 in the Teufel shop in Stuttgart. I was not 100% satisfied with the sound. I decided on Canton B100 and am very happy with it.
