Hello, I have a house with 3 floors and a cellar. The router is on the ground floor, but I want great reception in the basement, upstairs and downstairs. Does this mean that I need another adapter in addition to these 2? So socket: basement, upper floor and upper floor (ground floor not, there is router) do I understand the principle correctly? Thank you.

I agree with the answers above. You can consider buying the newer model, "Devolo Magic 1 WiFi mini Multiroom Kit": Devolo Magic 1 WiFi mini Multiroom Kit (1200Mbit/s)

Personally, I'm sorry to say that I had bad luck with the "Devolo dLAN 550 WiFi Network Kit". Between 2017 and 2020, I had 4 warranty cases in with the WiFi adapters.
Since last summer, I now have the product linked above, so far without failures. I have also had better experience with the Magic 1 than with the previous model in terms of the stability of the powerline connection. I find the WLAN very good, I work daily in my home office via WLAN and depend on a stable connection. I don't remember any interruptions in the Wi-Fi connection, which was also great with the predecessor.

I am a layman. It's enough if you buy a third small square "cube" as shown above. I have several myself, which I often move around, e.g. when I'm sitting in the conservatory. It doesn't work in the garden shed because there is a sub-distributor with an electricity meter.

I think you're right, but try the two adapters first, maybe one will be enough for two floors.
