Hello there, Does the DeskJet 3760 All-in-One printer also run on Linux, or has the Linux driver already been programmed? Thank you and kind regards Thomas Steiner
Good evening, it looks like there is a driver for Linux,
https://developers.hp.com/hp-linux-i...
As with all drivers and software it is recommended to download it via the package manager, I could find the driver under the name hplip:
https://packages.ubuntu.com/search
https://www.archlinux.org/packages...
so accordingly in the terminal
sudo apt install hplip
or
sudo pacman -S hplip
Type in.
Of course it depends on what package manager you have installed, worst case there is still a snap version of this package.
Unfortunately, I can't confirm how well it works or help in any other way, as I bought this printer as a gift.
The printer accompanies us in the camper van. It has to take a lot of knocks and jolts along the way. So far, it has withstood everything. The print quality is sufficient and the speed is good enough for occasional use. The printer is not suitable for constant intensive use.
I do not recommend buying this printer. Mine had a software problem and could not print partially vectorised data, no support, no new driver. Generally poor quality. If HP can't even do it for Windows, how can they do it for Linux? To be fair, HP did replace the machine and I resold the new replacement for 20 chf. Still, they are not doing themselves any favours with this device.
