It has to be said that I myself have a Canon 7D, which is not compatible according to this list, but the automatic shutter release works without any problems with the supplied connection cable (e.g. during a timelapse recording).

Fuji cameras are not mentioned here and I don't know if the cables from Canon, Nikon or Sony would fit into the socket of a Fuji.

However, you always have the option of starting recordings or taking pictures via the app or via the remote release of the camera.
