Hi, does the Soundbar take the audio signal directly from the HDMI cable? My old Onkyo receiver only passes the HDMI signal on to the TV, I have to connect an extra audio cable for the sound...

Yes, I have only connected the HDMI cable via the HDMI ARC connection of my TV and JBL Soundbar and the sound runs perfectly.
