Question about Manfrotto Free Live Carbon Fibre Tripod

Hi, I bought the Manfrotto tripod and now the plate doesn't fit on my Panasonic Lumix S5 because the lens is minimally in the way, the plate is too long. What do I need to mount the camera on the Manfrotto tripod without "killing" my lens? Thanks a lot

The panels are standardised in width. The lengths can be selected differently. Which means buying a shorter panel.
