I am running a Sunriserouter (Sagemcom) connected to numerous smarthome devices via WLAN. Unfortunately, the existing WLAN is too weak to operate all the smarthome devices, so I want to strengthen my WLAN with Mesh Orbit RBK753. Re-setting up the smarthome devices with new SSDI and password takes days, which I want to save myself. Can the existing password of Sunrise 2.4 GHz and the existing Sunrise SSDI be taken over via the guest/or main access of the mesh system, so that the tedious setup of the smarthome devices is omitted?

I agree with Stardustone about the migration path. It does not make sense to run the same SSID with the same password on two separate systems.
It is important to decide whether to use the Orbit system as a router or simply connect it to the network and deactivate all functions except WLAN. Otherwise, all LAN devices must also be moved.
I have been using my Orbi for more than a year and have over 60 smart home devices running. Behind them is a Swisscom router. Apple TV, Swisscom TV, Netflix - everything is on the network at the same time and the WLAN doesn't get out of order even when I'm gaming. It was really worth the investment.

I used the same SSID name and password as the old one and all devices could connect without problems.

The mesh system takes over the entire WLAN traffic. It is sufficient to switch off the WLAN on the Sunrise and then set up the same SSID name for the WLAN on the Mesh System. All devices that were previously connected to the Sunrise WLAN router will then connect to the new mesh router system with the same SSID.

The Netgear Orbi devices are very good, however, there is also a mesh solution from TP-Link that costs less and also offers WiFi 6, the TP-Link X60, perhaps that is also worth considering :).
