Teltonika RUTX50
I bought this router to operate it via PoE on a pointing EPNT-4 antenna. This is how I get fast internet in my home. The router works perfectly. Unfortunately, the power supply via a Unifi Usw-16 PoE+ switch does not work. What could be the reason for this?
2 more important points:
- the RUTX50 only supports PoE on port 1
- I haven't found a PoE / PoE+ /PoE ++ switch that also offers simple passive injection. It's always 802.3af, 802.3at or 802.3bt respectively.
It is important to use the correct port for the feed. It's in the instructions. At first it didn't work for me either. It was also due to an unruly cable that could only be plugged in with a lot of force until it "clicked". Now it works wonderfully.
There are several PoE standards. The one for your switch (803.3at) does not allow the RUTX50 to be powered.
You need a simple PoE injector that sends current through the cable at a voltage compatible with the range accepted by the router.
This will work perfectly with the RUTX50: Ubiquiti PoE Injector
