I cannot change the audio output setting from automatic to passtrough The box is connected via hdmi to a sony ht-g700 soundbar and the soundbar is connected to the tv via hdmi earc If you have an email I can send a video

Which component do you want to change the passthrough setting on? In my case, the S3 is connected via HDMI to the TV, which in turn is connected via HDMI-ARC to the sound bar.
Don't know if I can help here, in my case, the box is connected via optical spdif to a logitech z906 and via hdmi to the TV. I activated passtrough over the audiosettings and had audio, even 5.1, worked like a charm
