Hello Réné, all your questions can be answered with YES ! I use the iPhone app to access remotely. On my PC I can dump files to this home Cloud. At first, while being IT savvy, I was a little confused setting up the app and the PC dashboard. I called customer service and they talked me through it with great patience, teaching me what it does and does not do. After I was all set ! Since my purchase I’ve been using it without any flaws. I had electricity interruptions, it rebooted and worked as before. Firmware updates itself. All in all I gained 100% confidence (being very security minded) this was an excellent purchase. I was thinking like you in the beginning. The only thing I’m still thinking about is to hide it somewhere in the house so no one can steal it :-) ! Bests from Montreux, Arnold
