I have the following error display with this printer: "Problem with the print button". I have already changed the ink cartridges. Buy a new printer?
As far as I know, HP will exchange your device pretty quickly if you contact them directly.
With this error message, there is only the repair. I have experienced this twice.
1. since under warranty inquired at digitec. Send the printer. But how - packaging already gone. So I ordered a new printer. There is packaging again. New printer out, defective one in and away the post at my expense. Digitec refunded the price afterwards.
2. this one also had the same bird after some time. This time I was smarter. I went troubleshooting online at HP. There you can find a hint somewhere. In the meantime I have forgotten how. Anyway, I received a package with a prepaid address. I sent it to the post office and it was replaced. So far I have had peace and quiet, i.e. for about 9 months.
