I have this doorbell but cannot connect the device to the power cable so that the existing old doorbell rings when the bell button is pressed. Does anyone have any experience with this? Can the device be connected to the old doorbell?

It must be on alternating current, which only lights up when you ring the bell with the old bell, so you need to switch to direct current. I had the same problem
