I ordered the Xbox One S with Play & Charge a few weeks ago, but now I can no longer charge it! Is this a known problem or did I get a Monday brand?

I bought the xbox one x and the charging kit does not charge, but the old xbox one controller does... what should i do ?? buy new kit or send controller back?
