Question about TP-Link Tapo C200

I recently purchased this item as a gift. I would like to test it if it works properly before wrapping it. If I understand correctly, the camera has to be configured with a wifi to test -- if I connect it to my wifi now, will my friend still be able to configure it with her wifi?

Helpful answer

You can also reset the device back to factory settings...so your friend can start from new.

You can change the WiFi network any number of times you want. So you should be able to test it on your network and then give it To someone else on a different network.
