I want to use this NAS together with the media player Zappiti Mini 4k HDR. Zappiti told me that Zapitti needs an SMB 1.0 share folder for Zappiti to recognise the WD My Cloud. Does the WD My Cloud have one of these? I would connect WD My Cloud directly to the Swisscom Internet Box Standard. Thanks for tips Christian

You can change the SMB from 1 to 3 and even combine them. I'm not a computer scientist, I don't even know what SMB is. But I had to change it from SMB 3 to SMB 2+3 so that I can access the NAS with my smartphone and computer via the home network. It works, I'm thrilled! Regarding your question, yes, the My Cloud can do SMB 1.
