I'm not familiar with Garmin... is this watch also equipped with cellular technology? So you can receive messages and calls even when your smartphone (iPhone) is not nearby? For example, when you are outside running?

Helpful answer

No. The watch is connected via Bluetooth or WLAN. There is no active SIM card installed for telephony. When running, the smartphone must be present in order to display messages.
