Is it possible to connect this adapter between a Lenovo docking station and a Raspberry Pi via. network cable to a Raspberry Pi in order to connect external hard drives to it which are connected via the network.

It won't work without a laptop connected to the docking station... Connect your Raspberry Pi via LAN to a SWITCH (e.g. art. no. 206490), then you will always have access to the Raspberry.... via LAN.

The docking station is of course connected to the network...
