Is it really the RAM offered in the shop as a suitable accessory? https://www.digitec.ch/de/product/hyperx-impact-1x-8gb-ddr3-1866-sodimm-204-ram-5643521 the right one? I read on the manufacturer's website something about a maximum of 6 (1x2 [already installed]+ 1x4).

No, unfortunately not. The DS718+ can be expanded to a maximum of 6GB RAM (i.e. + 4GB).

It works fine for me: HyperX Impact (1x, 4GB, DDR3L-1866, SODIMM 204)
