This heart rate monitor is not suitable for swimming as it does not store heart rate data independently and the wireless connection does not work reliably under water. The digital transmissions (ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart) can only transmit data under water for around 3 cm, which is not sufficient for swimming, and the data is lost without intermediate storage.
