Rubbish The machine has one job, which is to scan documents. But you get cluttered with bullshit software and the thing has a hard time scanning. the thing has a hard time scanning.

Can you be a bit more specific. The platform here is not for ratings, but to help each other. So, what is your specific question or concern?
Personally, I use the Brother scanning software "iPrint+Scan" and am very satisfied with the range of functions.
