The reader doesn't work for me (although it should be quite easy via plug and play). Did you have to install a special driver (in addition to the eID software & viewer)?

I only need the reader to read my Belgian ID card when I communicate with Ambasade or Belgian institutions.
Works perfectly without additional programs
