It has fibre optics and a speed of up to 3gbs, so it's very fast.

This is a " Full-featured USB active optical cable. USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C" with 5Gbps speed as per Meta own page.
Optical because it is lighter than copper based cables. Functionality wise, should be the same.
Of course, this one has L-shape connector which most of the standard USB-C of the same specs do not have.
So this could be reason to go for original.
