Samson Meteor Mic
When I plug in the microphone via USB on the Latop under Windows 10, my Skype friends can hear me very well, but I can't hear them through the built-in laptop speaker. Since there are two of us sitting on my side, headphones are not suitable. Where is the fault that I can't hear the other side through the laptop speakers during a Skype conversation? Thanks for your help! ;-)
Is the microphone also selected as an output source? Behind the microphone there is another headphone input via which an audio output is possible. To change this, you would have to select the integrated speakers as the output in Skype's video and audio settings and not the microphone.
The Samson Meteor Mic itself has an audio output (3.5mm jack). When you plug it in, Windows may change not only the input device but also the output device. There are two possibilities:
1. you can select the output device in Skype itself and choose your notebook speakers there.
2. you change the playback device directly in Windows (System settings > Sound). Make sure that you can set both a default device (for all sounds from programmes and Windows itself) and a default communication device (for audio playback in telephone or video conferences). In your case, you can probably select the notebook speakers for both.
